One in Him (Mark 3) by Uche Stephanie

Mark 3 is a good reminder that when we ground ourselves in Christ he claims us as His own. In verse 35 he states “For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.”

In doing this Christ makes two things known:

1) He is reaffirming His role as Savior and reminding us that He is for and with us.

We are His family, and when we carry out His will in our daily walk, we become one in Him.

2) He is modeling how we should view and treat one another as a family unit in Christ. As Christians we are called to view one another as brothers and sisters in Him. This means seeking the Holy Spirit in one another and treating each other with love, patience and kindness. When we do this, not only are we showing ourselves worthy of His grace, but we’re strengthening His ministry by reaffirming the presence of Christ in one another😊

Prayer: Lord may you give us the strength to be carriers of Christ and view one another through the lens of the Holy Spirit, so we may grow in you and take our rightful place as heirs in your kingdom😊
