Love Enduring

‘For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.’ God is love, and love is more than a beautiful thing. Where there is love, there is life and without love, life loses its meaning. We love and we are loved. We seek love and generally, nobody run’s away from love. There is something that propels us to it. We embrace it. But is it unconditional?

Our love is so temporal and limited. There is always a break whenever we lose our loved one to death. Our love becomes a past tense. And you know the cliché ‘WE LOVED YOU, BUT GOD LOVED YOU MOST!’ So our love, no matter how strong, comes to an end, leaving memories; and God that loves most takes it at the end of the day.

Now consider this love. Even before you were formed in your mother’s womb, He loved you. That was not enough. He went ahead and gave His only child as ransom for you! Where on earth will you find that?

Even with our weaknesses and misdoings, He loves us still. His love is not conditioned to anything we have to offer to Him. When we are wrong He is ready to forgive, always waiting with open arms to embrace us. Is it the same with human love? Of course not! Though we tend to deny, our love is so conditioned. If your best friend betrays you today and asks for forgiveness, you will forgive him/her. Maybe even still love them BUT with a benefit of doubt, because you have learned a lesson.
Can you imagine where we would be if God did the same with us? Personally, I would be nowhere to be found. God would have given up on me a long time ago, after giving me countless chances.
Glory to God!

He is good indeed, and His love endures forever. People will love, hurt and leave us, but God is constant. When we die, we resurrect with Him. His love is everlasting, from eternity to eternity. To be able to love like Him, we must have Him in us; you cannot give what you do not have.

Receive His love. Give it out unconditionally. My prayer for us today is love enduring, in us and from us. Let us live it.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for your everlasting love. Grant that I may love like you do till the end of time. In Jesus Name. Amen
