#LAProverbs Devotional Day 18 ‘I Guard My Words’ by @khemmzie

Wise words satisfy like a good meal; the right words bring satisfaction. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. Proverbs 18:20-21(NLT)

There is power in the tongue, power in proclamation and power in confession. We all know the extent of this power and we often try to use it positively.
But there is more to the positive use of our words than not speaking evil. It is not speaking too much. Excessive talking is dangerous and when spoken out of turn, it destroys.

Our words should edify, give life, lift spirits and speak the truth. So when it seems like we’re talking too much on an issue, we should take a pause, breathe, say the major things required and stop before we divulge into the wrong channel.

Prayer Focus:
Let the words of my mouth be a soothing balm to aching spirits and let it be acceptable in Your sight, my God, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
