Partnership

‘And the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.’

Today we learn the potent law of ‘Partnership’. In this context, I paraphrase the legal definition, to describe it as ‘a relationship that exists between two or more persons doing something in common with a specific goal or destination in mind’.

When Solomon began his rule, Hiram, the king of Tyre congratualted him on his new position. Solomon capitalised on the relationship and invited Hiram to help him build the temple. Together, the two leaders achieved far more than they could have alone. That’s partnership.

The Holy Spirit is revealing a delicate secret to us today. As Leaders, it is needful to lift others while we rise and accept the helpers God sends to us per time. Also, as Helpers, realise that our service is unto God not to man and He will reward us abundantly. We are both Leaders and Helpers along various stages of our lives; a double blessing from above, Amen.

We realise that people strive for high ideals and have the need to be the only ‘Heroes’ that save the day. This becomes a problem when pride and greed steals the show and prevents all the blessings that could have been made available via partnership.

‘And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.’ Leviticus 26:8

Let us have this understanding- ‘Together Everyone Achieves More’. This team spirit led to the building of the house for the Lord. Therefore partnership will also lead to great things in our family and our individual lives, Amen.

Prayer focus
Thank you Lord for the law of partnership. Please, help me with the humility to accept the team spirit that leads to greater blessings. Thank you Lord for your help and guidance, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
