#LACorinthians Devotional Day 15 by Adaobi Nwosu ( @_modiste1)

GOD IS A REWARDER

image

Some members of the Corinthian church doubted that the dead would resurrect. Paul rightly asks, if they do not believe in the resurrection of the dead, what is their basis for believing that Christ was raised from the dead.

Since we believe Christ was raised from the dead, we also believe that those of us who die in Christ will be raised at His second coming. The life of a Christian is a life of faith. A life of believing before seeing. If there is no hope of eternal life for us, then we serve God in vain.

We must have faith in order to be saved. For without faith, it is impossible to please God. As we approach Him, we must believe that He exists and He rewards those who seek Him (Heb 11:6).

At times we may wonder if the Christian life is worth it. Such thoughts affect our faith. We have to remember that God is a just rewarder and our labour is not in vain. He will bless us with his goodness here on earth and He has promised us eternal life if we remain in Christ.

Prayer Focus
Dear Father, I believe that Christ came and died for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead. I ask for grace to live a life that pleases You. I receive every spiritual and material blessing You have given me. I receive eternal life in Jesus’ name, Amen.
