#LACorinthians Devotional Day 10 by S. Okunola (@Buqolar)

Have you ever been in love? Have you ever cared for another more than you do yourself?

The relationship we have with our loved ones is nothing compared to the relationship God wants with us. The love we have for people dear to our hearts cannot stand the love Christ has for us. When we are in love, we want to know everything about the other person: what makes them tick, what makes them laugh, what makes them who they are.  We are not just concerned about what others see, we want to know things no one else does.

Same goes for Christ, He loved us enough to die for us. He is concerned about the minute details. Little wonder the scripture above talks about eating and drinking. Though these activities seem ‘ordinary’, our Lord is interested in them. He is not just interested in the church we attend; He wants to be in our thoughts every day. He is interested in the songs we sing, our career, our relationships, our deepest secrets, our thoughts, our struggles, our shame, our victories, our talents, everything!!!

In all you do, strive to please Him alone; He is your lover after all.  Let the whole world know you have this lover, live your life for Him!

If it won’t glorify Him, it’s not worth doing. Let your little light shine. Let people see Christ in ALL you do.

When Christ becomes the centre of our lives, living for Him is no longer an option but a necessity.

A wise man said, ‘Your life is God’s gift to you, how well you live it is your gift back to God.’

How well are you packaging this gift?

Prayer Focus
Daily as I live, Lord let my life be a sweet-smelling perfume to You. Help me to glorify You in everything I do, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
