#LA2Kings Devotional Day 15 by Adaobi Nwosu ( @modiste1)

God’s Word Never Fails

You can be sure that the message of the Lord that was spoken concerning Ahab’s family will not fail. The Lord declared through his servant Elijah that this would happen 2 Kings 10:10 (NLT)

When Elisha was God’s prophet to Israel, the prophecies spoken by Elijah, his predecessor, were coming to pass. So it is with every word from God; it will not fail but will surely come to pass. We ought to constantly speak God’s word concerning our life, health, finance and relationships.

The prophets Elijah and Elisha simply heard the word from God and repeated them to the people for whom the word was sent. As soon as the word was spoken, its verity was certain even though the result was not always immediate.

In our time, we have God’s word written in the bible. It is our responsibility to take the word that is relevant to our situation and declare it.

In Isaiah 55:11, God says ‘so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth; it shall not return to me void. But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it’. We are made in the image of God and we possess the same creative ability to cause changes as we speak God’s word to situations. The facts may still appear the same but the word spoken in faith will cause a change in due time.

Make it a daily habit to speak favour and blessings into your endeavors. As you declare God’s word, your physical realities align with the spiritual.

Prayer focus
Father I thank you for your infallible word. Your favour surrounds me as a shield today. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant pla
ces. I fulfill your will and purpose for my life in Jesus’ name, amen.
