#LA187: DAY 163 – Without God, All Is Nothing

#LA187 FAMILY

Hello Favored and Redeemed #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 163! God is the pillar holding us together.

Quiz time 🙂

Complete the following: Surely I will give the land of Egypt to ___________________.

Hint: Ezekiel 29

Today, we read Proverbs 7 and Ezekiel 28-31.

Our Eloxie Fresh sister tweeted something fresh on Proverbs 7 “Often youth is without wisdom and wisdom without youth. Let’s be young men and women with understanding. That combination is lethal.” Yes Yes!! #LA187 family members have both!

Ezekiel 28 reemphasizes the truth that God opposes the proud. Do not glory in your skills or wealth or beauty or abilities; rather glorify the God who gave you all these good things.

In Ezekiel 29, we see prophet Ezekiel delivering a message of destruction to the Egyptians. The Israelites made a fatal mistake by relying on Egypt. No wonder the Bible warns us not to put our trust in any man; such an individual is cursed. Instead, we will put our trust in God, our confidence is in Him.

Ibukun our Blessing shed fresh light on Ezekiel 30: Without God, all is nothing. The Egyptians had it all, in fact, other nations looked to them but the presence of pride and absence of God brought them to ruin. In all that we do and with all that we have, we need God the most so we know what we have is the real deal.

We see another classic case of pride and it’s consequences in Ezekiel 31. You think you’re too big? You will simply be cut down.

Our memory verse for today was from Proverbs 7:4

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” And call understanding your nearest kin.

As Feyi shared, just like we love our physical family, so should we love wisdom and understanding.

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
