#LA187: DAY 162 – Consider The Ways Of The Ant!

#LA187 FAMILY

Happy Sunday Ever Loving #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 162! Grace and Peace to you!

Quiz time 🙂

List the seven things that are an abomination to God.

Hint: Proverbs 6

Today, we read Proverbs 6 and Ezekiel 24-27.

We noticed that six out of the seven abominations mentioned in Proverbs 6 were committed using body parts (Example: A lying TONGUE). How do we keep this flesh under control?  By yielding to the Holy Ghost and presenting it to God as a living sacrifice, it was never ours to start with! We also learned from a lot from the Ant mentioned in Proverbs 6:6-8, the ant takes initiative and so should we. Also, the Ant has a clear understanding of seasons. It knew when to gather grain and when to hibernate. Understanding seasons is a key step in proper planning so we don’t do the right thing at the wrong time. We receive Grace to continue discerning times and seasons.

On Ezekiel 24, Uche Fresh shared that the fire which God kindles for the consuming of impenitent sinners shall never abate, much less go out, for want of fuel.

Ezekiel 25 and 26 taught us not to mock those in suffering or rejoice in the calamity of others lest a worse fate befalls us. It is ungodly to view the downfall of another with secret pleasure.

One major point we took away from Ezekiel 27 is this: When riches increase (business is booming, promotion in the office) as in the case of Tyre, let us not turn away from God. It also showed us that God is interested in our professions and businesses.

Our memory verse for today was from Proverbs 6:20

My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother.

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
