Hello Favored #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 148. Grace and Peace to you in abundance!

Quiz time 🙂

Complete the following: And these nations shall serve the king of Babylon _______ years.

Hint: Jeremiah 25.

Testimony time 🙂

We thank God for protection. One of our family members was almost run over. Thankfully, the vehicle stopped. HE WILL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER US – Psalms 91!

Today, we read Psalms 142 and Jeremiah 25-28.

Jeremiah 25:3

“For the last twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year that Josiah son of Amon was ruling in Judah until now, the Lord has been speaking to me. I told you over and over again what he said. But you would not listen.

Wow! 23 years of warning yet they didn’t listen. May our hearts not be so hardened or our ears so dull that we miss God’s Word to us. Amen!

On Jeremiah 26, our family Pastor, Blessing observed that people were not pleased with what Jeremiah said because they would rather not listen to the truth. Isn’t that true? As humans, we immediately get defensive when the truth we are served is not palatable. However, we need to realize like the priests and prophets that whoever is telling us the truth as God instructed is doing it for our own good. We’re the beneficiaries.

Still on this truth matter, in Jeremiah 27, we see that the people preferred to listen to false prophesies and lies. May we not have itching ears (2 Timothy 4); we will not surround ourselves with people saying only that which we want to hear. Amen!

@Ogetours rings the warning bell on Jeremiah 28: Let’s try and take a cue from Hananiah don’t say “thus said the Lord” when the Lord hasn’t said thus!

Our memory verse for today was from Psalms 142:5

I cried out to You, O Lord: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

#LA187, God is our refuge! Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
