#LA187: DAY 147 – We Must Gather and Not Scatter

#LA187 FAMILY

Hello Beloved #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 147, Grace and peace to you! We must endeavor to store up the words we’ve learned (retain) while we obtain new truths. Don’t let one truth push out the other.

Quiz time 🙂

Please complete the following: Let the wicked fall into __________________ while I ___________.

Hint: Psalms 141.

Today, we read Psalms 141 and Jeremiah 21-24.

@Ogetours enjoined the family to intentionally take time out to pray. Else we may not have any sweet smelling incense to set before God.

On Jeremiah 21, Phebe observed that God once again expresses His distaste for unjust governance.

Our cook for today, Lola, dished a tasty meal on Jeremiah 22. There is a lot of injustice going on around us; we ourselves might even be such victims. God is telling us to treat everyone fairly and refrain from cheating people. If you see or know of anyone being treated unjustly, try your best to help DO SOMETHING about it so that the wrath of God will not come upon us.

Still on Jeremiah 22, Ibukun added on that God is looking for two things in a leader: righteousness and compassion. As Christians, we should be sensitive to others because we are the instruments God uses to reach out to people who are hurting. Righteousness is a function of the blood of Jesus in our lives but we also have to make the choice to live right through our choices and decisions.

On Jeremiah 23, our family Pastor, Blessing Chi, reminded us that as Christians, our commission is to gather and not to scatter. May God help us not to lead others astray in Jesus name.

Ibukun, who was helping in the kitchen, shared a fresh one on Jeremiah 24: The good figs represented those that had to leave home, as difficult as the choice must have been, ended up being saved. Sometimes God might ask us to do things that seem unfavorable or we might even be in situations that are not so pleasant but we need to believe that ALL things work together for our good.

Our memory verse for today was from Psalms 141:3

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.

Thunderous Amen to that! Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
