Hint: Ecclesiastes 3 from today’s reading.

Today, we read Psalms 119: 51 – 75 and Ecclesiastes 3 – 6.

Please check our ‘This Week On #LA187’ page for the weekly guide.

Ecclesiastes 3 – 6 = LOADED!

From Ecclesiastes 3, we can see that there is a time and season for everything. What time is it? It’s #LA187 time. This is the time to grow in the knowledge of Jesus. God has made everything beautiful in its time. #LA187, you are beautiful!

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS #LA187 TIME

Ecclesiastes 3:12 – “So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is why we are here! No one will bring us back from death to enjoy life after we die.” King Solomon enjoins us to rejoice in our work. #LA187 Rejoice! For God has given us a good work. If you must do it then do it smiling. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 Get it? Got it? Good!

Ecclesiastes 4 touched on the value of a friend. What a friend we have in Jesus ♩♪♫♬.

Williams shed some more light on this as he tweeted the following:

“It is much better to have friends who can help each other when they fall (Eccl. 4:9-12) #LA187

“It is much better to have friends who can help each other withstand forces of opposition. (Eccl. 4:9-12) #LA187

“Above all, you are BLESSED if you have a praying friend. (Eccl. 4:9-12) #LA187

“There is no greater friend, than the One who is the ultimate end of all God’s purposes in this world: Jesus Christ! (Eph. 1:9-10). #LA187”.

Ecclesiastes 5 warns against vain religion, we also learned the importance of fulfilling vows made to God. Verse 5 says “Better not to vow than to vow and not pay”. Eloho dropped a fresh thought on this one: “Oh for the vows we make when trouble looms & forget as soon as the storm passes. Hmmm.” #LA187! Keep your vows!

On to Ecclesiastes 6 which lets us in on the fact that longing after the things of the world will leave us with an insatiable appetite. Let us ask God for the grace to be contented for the Bible tell us that godliness with contentment is great gain – 1 Timothy 6:6.

Our memory verse for today was from Psalm 119:72

The law of Your mouth is better to me Than thousands of coins of gold and silver.

Keep going for the Word, keep going FORWARD!

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
