#LA187: Day 100 – Lord of Mercy!!!

FRESHNESS

It is our 100th Anniversary!!!! Glory be to God in the hiiiiiighest! This number is not ordinary I tell you.  As pointed out by the #LA187 family on Twitter,  Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born (Genesis 21:5). #LA187, receive your Isaac in Jesus name. Did I hear you say Amennnn.

As Daddy Fresh said,  today is the perfect day to join the #LA187 family! …and the Lord is adding to our number daily (Acts 2:47).

Today we read Psalm 100 and 2 Chronicles 30-33.

All roads led us to Mercy today.

Psalm 100:5

For the LORD is good; His MERCY is everlasting,  And His truth endures to all generations.

Kemi made an observation from 2 Chronicles 30:

2 Chronicles 30:18-20 NIV

Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord , who is good, pardon everyone who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary.” And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people. Mercy over law!

#FRESH

@Elexharry tweeted “God will not turn His face from us if we return to Him. He is gracious and merciful”.

Ibukun from our flourishing WhatsApp group pointed out that Hezekiah knew how forgiving God is, he asked for forgiveness and died an honorable death unlike Asa.

In reference to Manasseh’s evil ways and subsequent repentance (2 Chronicles 33:1-20),  Temi from our WhatsApp group said “Manasseh was bold o *hiss* how could he build pagan altars in the Lord’s Temple????!!!!!!!  Even after all the nasty things he did, God forgave Him when he humbled himself and turned to God”

God delights in showing mercy…evidently!

Let’s not forget our memory verse for this remarkable day..

Psalms 100:3

Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Personalize these verses as much as possible.

Stay ALIVE and FRESH!
