I Will Be Dedicated

In 2010, I was given the task of getting a hall for a program our student fellowship, SFC Moscow, was to organize. We needed a hall with special features. Searching for that type of hall was not an enviable exercise. For the weeks I searched, I lost sleep.

I therefore can understand when, in Psalm 132:4-5, David says, ‘I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids,  Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.’

David was so dedicated to God’s work that God called him a man after His own heart. O that I would be dedicated to God: with my time, my energy, and my resources.

Such dedication can never be overlooked by God. God will always decorate the dedicated. The Bible tells us that David’s throne was established forever. If your life must be established then be dedicated.

My soul, wake up from your slumber, and be about God’s business. Don’t only join men to say, ‘Thy Kingdom come,’ but go about doing God’s will on earth, so that you can boldly say, ‘Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’

I will be dedicated.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for saving me and empowering me to serve you. Help me to be dedicated to you and your house in Jesus name. Amen!
