Don’t be in a hurry to show yourself to the world (John 7) #LAFruits

One very solid lesson from Scripture is that there is time for everything under the sun (Ecclesiastes 3:1). Therefore, we must not be in a hurry to be great, or for people to see that we have such and such talent. Let’s watch out for the time of our appointment, and gracefully undergo preparation under the hands of the Master or leaders while watching.

Jesus knew this principle, and he practiced it. Please see:

His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.  For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.

Jesus answered, ‘… Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.’

John 7:3-4, 8

Your time may even have come but not fully. Keep trusting God, keep doing something, keep learning. So that when your time fully comes, you’ll be ready to explode.

Prayer: Father, give me the grace to wait upon you. Help me to not fear obscurity, but observe that it is for my good. In Jesus name.
