All Things Are Yours
1 Corinthians 3

Text: Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s; 1 Cor 3:21

Learn and Apply: On Sunday, virtually all three sermons I listened to from three different pastors of three different churches talked about the need for us to hear God for ourselves and not to depend on men for a word from God. God may use men when He wants, but we should hear from God and His word daily, primarily.

Paul also encouraged the brethren at Corinth, not to focus so much on man that they miss out of the glory of God. He admonished them to glory in God, and not in man (v. 21), for all things are ours! Indeed all things are ours. God has given us his word which contains all we need for life and godliness. It therefore behooves us to learn and apply this word to our lives so that our profiting will appear to all men (1 Tim. 4:15).

May God help us to focus on God and His word. To look up to God alone and not to man for our daily bread. And to renew our minds until God’s spirit is formed in us (Gal 4:19).

Once again, I tell you, All things are yours!

Pray: Thank you Father for making all things available to me; I pray that you help me to walk in the fullness you have provided for me, and to look up to you alone, in Jesus name.
