‘Every day I will bless You,’ Ps 145:2

Night vigils. Night vigils are not fun when you have to wake up by 1am to sing praises and hymns. Before I went to the university, I usually participated actively, sometimes waking my whole family to join in the early Monday morning vigils.

After leaving the family house for a period of 7 years, the enthusiasm has dropped. It now takes greater effort to participate in the family night vigils, even though it didn’t happen everyday.

David, however, says, ‘Every day I will bless You.’ It was his custom to bless God everyday. Not only on special days, but everyday.

Many people are willing to bless God, as long as it is not everyday.
Many more people are willing to study his word, as long as it is not everyday.

To be a man after God’s heart, you must be ready to bless God everyday, every week, every month, every year.

And when your time on earth is done, you will pass the baton to the next generation for,  ‘One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.’ Psalm 145:4

Don’t get tired of blessing God, for God has not gotten tired of blessing you.

Bless God, everyday.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for the numerous blessings you give to me everyday. Give me the grace to see your good works over my life, and bless your name. Everyday.
